Bridge damage due to flooding in Northeim!
Due to flooding damage the Rhume bridge in Northeim is impassable. Thus, the Hanover – Kassel railway line is closed in both directions between Edesheim (Leine) junction and Northeim (Han). Traffic will be rerouted via the Hanover–Würzburg high-speed railway between Edesheim (Leine) junction and Nörten-Hardenberg. Please note that the schedule sheets of rerouted trains do not cover the tracks of the high-speed railway. Substitute timetables as mentioned in the respective timetable notification do apply instead.
Regional traffic does not stop in Northeim (Han) and Nörten-Hardenberg. An hourly replacement between Göttingen and Northeim (Han) operates in both directions 5 minutes after scheduled departure of the RE 2-train (Metronom). Stops of RB 82 and RB 86 are cancelled without replacement. RB 80 trains to resp. from direction Nordhausen operate as scheduled. Rail replacement bus service is being arranged between Northeim (Han) and Einbeck-Salzderhelden. Delays in operating schedules should be expected!
This timetable includes the Hanover–Würzburg high-speed railway between Escherde service station (Bbf) and Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe. The so-called "Sorsum curve" enables connection to the Nordstemmen - Lehrte railway which is included here between Hildesheim freight yard (Gbf) and Emmerke station. Moreover, three parts of the so-called "Hanoverian Southern Railway" between Hanover and Kassel are included. Namely, between Sudheim (part of Northeim) and Göttingen, between Hann. Münden and Kassel main station (Hbf) as well as at Edesheim (Liene). South of Göttingen the Göttingen - Bebra railway is realized till shortly behind Obernjesa service station (Bbf). Moreover, short tracks of other railway lines in Kassel are included as well.
Remarks
Here, traffic on Monday, July 6, 2020 from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. is simulated. Travel times of passenger trains are taken from original timetables. Rerouted traffic as well as freight traffic is fictitious.
Marshalling of passenger trains generally corresponds to original traffic of 2020. Exceptions apply in cases where railway cars are not available in Zusi currently. This e.g. holds for ICE 71, 591, 888 and 1088, running with ICE 1 instead of ICE 4 (only available as deco trains at this time).
Within scenery traffic in Hildesheim and Kassel, railway vehicles not available in Zusi currently are replaced as follows:
- RE 10 (Hanover Hbf - Bad Harzburg):
- Class 648 (LINT 41, erixx) instead of
- class 622 (LINT 54, erixx)
- RE 17 (Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe - Hagen Hbf):
- Class 612 (DB Regio) instead of
- class 632 bzw. 633 (Pesa Link, DB Regio)
- RT 4 (Holländische Str. - Wolfhagen):
- Class 452 (RegioCitadis, E/E) instead of
- class 689 (RegioCitadis, E/D)
As the tunnel connection between Kassel main station (Hbf) and the Kassel light rail system is not reproduced here, "RegioTram" trains to resp. from Kassel city end on track 4 and accordingly start on tracks 5 or 6. Moreover, in this simulation three stops on the RT 1 and RT 4 line between Kassel main station and Obervellmar are missing compared to today's situation. Thus, times of travel are amended here with times at Kassel main station corresponding to today's state. "Regio-Tram" trains are available as deco trains only.
